Wellit, the company behind the leading logistics management software WELS, has signed a global Software as a Service contract with yet another Big Five Energy Operator.

WELS has been selected to fast-track the digitalization of all logistics operations for the company.

Starting this autumn, the company will roll out WELS for all operations offshore Nigeria. From the get-go, all the Operator’s vendors, rigs and vessels in the region will be using WELS. Other countries and regions will follow.

“This is a proud moment in Wellit’s history and further strengthens our position as the energy industry’s preferred logistics management software. This leading energy company made thorough efforts to assess and approve our software technology – and confirms the unique value proposition Wellit delivers to our growing customer base. In oil and gas, logistics is a major cost driver – especially in offshore operations. With WELS, our new customer can apply their own data to run cleaner, safer – and in all meanings of the word – more efficient operations,” says Wellit CEO Jan Inge Pedersen.

*BIG FIVE: A term typically used to describe the world’s largest publicly traded oil and gas companies. These are BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell and Total.
